What a messy year for French soccer. First the World Cup disaster, now this?French police have charged Karim Benzema and Franck Ribery with soliciting an underage prostitute. Both have denied knowing that the prostitute was underage.

"Ribery, who plays for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga and was in the France squad for the World Cup last month, faces three years in jail and a $60,000 fine if found guilty of paying to have sex with a minor. Fellow France star Karim Benzema, who plays in Spain for Real Madrid, could also face the same penalty."
Apparently in France, prostitutes must be over 18 years old. The legal age for consenting sex is 15.
These two soccer superstars could be heading to jail if they knew about Zahia Dehar's age but paid for sex anyways. The law states that clients are liable if a prostitute is underage.
Dehar, now 18 years-old, was 16 when Benzema and Ribery were accused of soliciting her for sex. She maintains that she never told the men her age.
Xtra Time managed to find a couple photos of Dehar that were released this year following the public investigation.
