The world's top professional footballers are more than just players: they are media icons off the pitch that live a lifestyle of fast cars, fancy clothes and gorgeous women. They eat at the best restaurants and party at the best nightclubs. They are also delicious fodder for the tabloids. If you've ever been interested in this side of the soccer world, than I have the perfect site for you.
Earlier this week I discovered Kickette soccer blog. Written by a lovely staff of female journalists, these women provide news on everything but the games themselves. Nowhere will you find a box score or recap of this weekend's most important match; instead you will find out just whom Cristiano Ronaldo has had his latest hook-up with or what outfit David Beckham was wearing last night.
While it is written from a female perspective (so guys, get ready to see lots of soccer players without their shirts on), Kickette is not afraid to find out what is going on in the highly-publicized lives of famous footballers and report on it. I must also add that many of the posts contain a fantastic sense of humor.
The site also has photos galore: I was pulled in some of the recent ones from Arsenal's Gunners World Ball at the Emirates Stadium. Check out how awkward forward Andrey Arshavin looks:
